Chichester Lantern Parade
We watched the Chichester Latern Parade on Saturday June 27th, whilst visiting my parents for the weekend. It was the first time I had seen the parade and what a delight, the main street consists of four streets North, East South and West, with a band stand in the center and the cathedral is on West Street where the parade congregated for the finally.
Tremendous effort went into the bands, the making of the lanterns and the four giant figures. The cathedral was the back drop for a firework display whilst the bands played their pieces. The streets were filled with people and the weather made for a perfect evening.

Colours of Nature
Whilst beach combing back in April in Selsey, Sussex the sun was shining and colours appeared in abundance every where.
I do love walking along the beach when I am at my parents, with the wind clearing away the stresses of the week. Collecting piles of washed up goodies just waiting to be turned into something decorative and beautiful.
Christian, faye and I are of to Selsey to visit my parents for a couple of days this weekend, I hope the sun stays out and Christian gets to do some windsurfing.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend. x

Dream rooms of my dream home
I have often thought of how would I decorate my prefect dream home and whilst looking through a folder on my laptop titled 'Dream Home' I thought I would share just a few with you. This folder is years old and full of hundreds of images so I have no idea where they all came from but if any of these are your home....you lucky thing.
A beautiful bedroom to dream of designing more greeting cards in.
My dream tub
A cosy serene room to curl up in and read a book.
My dream kitchen, I could bake cupcakes and scones all day in here.
Dream walkin robe
Nursery.......maybe one day x.
I found a photo in my image album for my dream shed, these are the colours that I will paint our new shed with. There appears to be a common theme here...WHITE... Christian and Faye will have to learn to levitate. These images are now pinned up on my inspiration/wish board in my loft studio. It's great to have a dream.

Alice in Wonderland
Disney and Tim Burton have made an Alice in Wonerland movie which is due for release in 2010.
The story follows Alice who is now 17, returning to Wonderland for he second time despite having no recolection of her first visit. After attending a party in the real world, Alice is unexpectedly proposed to in front of hundreds of snooty aristocrats, she runs off following the White Rabbit back to Wonderland.
Johnny Deep plays the Mad Hater, Anne Hathaway as the White Queen, Helen Bonham Carter stars as the Red Queen and Alice is played by Australian actress Mia Wasikowska.
This is a Walt Disney china figurine that my Nanny gave to me when I was very little girl. I have always adored it and it is one of my most treasured keepsakes. The colours are still bright and I love the composition. I was in my school play 'Alice through the looking glass"in my final year of High school and my part was the Carpenter, it was rather fun.
My Alice in Wonderland chess set that I bought must have been nearly 20 years ago. It was not cheap but when I saw it I just had to have it, the attention to detail in the hand painting is so lovely. It has been packed away for the last five years whilst we finished all the building work on the house. I was rumaging through the loft and found it, what a lovely surprise! So now it is on display and occasionally gets used.
As you can see I am a little bit of a fan when it comes to Alice in Wonderland, Faye and I are looking forward to a girls visit to the cinema when it is released.

Scone today
Our new Birthday range which is an extension of our top selling age range titled Vintage. 6 General female birthday cards all with ribbon bead and a feather.
My cream Kitchen Aid is fab to use, it was my Mothers Day pressie, lucky me.
Today turned out to be a rather fun day here in the office. We had some advert deadlines to meet so chaos decended upon our room. It was props galore and as the new range of cards are based on afternoon tea in Paris and I can't cook macaroons, scones to the rescue. Baking first thing a nice big batch of scones and it was so difficult keeping James from eating the props before the photos were finished.
And of course we just had to eat them, James raced of to buy clotted cream and we sat in the office pretending we were in Devon stuffing our faces.
Gemma, James and I, yes we are completely sane!

Thank You
We recently were commissioned to do bespoke wedding invites for a very special couple in Qatar. 600 glittering butterflies on a stunning gold background, they did look wonderful and I was extremely pleased with them. Much to my surprise a few days after our client received the invites a parcel arrived in my office. I opened the package and inside was a gorgeous perfume bottle and a beautiful Wedgewood cup & saucer as a thank you. I have admired the butterfly china for some time and everytime I visit Fortnum & Masons in London I stop and look at the whole range. Now I own a piece and it takes pride of place on my black lacquer sideboard. Thank you very much Mrs Al-Thani, I hope the wedding was amazing.

Father's Day 2009
We had fun this weekend and worked on the shed which is starting to take shape now. The sun shone and for Father's Day Faye, Christian and I decided to have a BBQ.
Now we have the guttering and door to hang, the windows we will have to make from scratch so they will be a little more tricky! I wonder what colours I should paint it, I was thinking dove blue/grey with white door and windows?
Hope you had a great day Christian, we love you xxx

Miss Dior Cherie
I recently received a sample of the Dior perfume Cherie in my copy of Vogue and it is a gorgeous feminine and floral light scent. I have dropped a few hints for my birthday in a couple of months, fingers crossed.
I love the colours and fashion used in the advert and would love to own that dress, and it's filmed in Paris, oooh it's such a beautiful place.
Visit the Dior website here.
