New Year's Eve is coming and so it must be party time!! To continue our decoration theme we have today fabulous sparkly garlands.

The above photos of pretty decorations are made with confetti, metalic garlands, pinatas, and glitter ornaments. These fabulous creations were by Confetti Systems I would want to leave them up all year round.

Cake Craft Attack

A craft attack hit me today, I was getting a little bored with doing nothing and there is only so much Christmas TV one can watch. I decided to have a go at making some cakes for my trade show stand in January, out of gift boxes and covering in wall decorating plaster filler to look like frosting. The are now dry and sitting on the kitchen side waiting for painting and decorating with flowers tomorrow. The trouble is they look so real that we are all wanting to dip our fingers in the icing topping and eat it.

I have never made cakes like this before and not really to sure what I am doing, so it will be interesting so see how they turn out!

Books for Fashionistas

Do you know a fashionista and want to know what to get them for christmas, then take a look at the beautiful books. I am fortunate to own two of the three, hint, hint Christian!!
Dior -I was very lucky as my little brother gave me this book for Christmas a couple of years ago. It's huge and quite possibly the biggest book in the house, but inside is a dream of dresses.
60 Years of Style: From Christian Dior to John Galliano

I found this book in New York and fell in love with it so just had to treat myself to it. My luggage was so over weight on that trip as I not only got this book but also 12 others. This book is full of the most beautiful photos and sketches a must for all couture lovers.

I am putting this book on my Christmas Wish List xxx

Anthropologie London

For those of you who have been to New York you will know all about the wonderful Anthropolpgie. They are famous in the 'artyfarty' world for their in-house displays and their amazingly creative window displays. At last they have ventured across the pond and last Autumn this year opened a store in London, Regents Street.
Its like every set designer's, window dresser's, interior designers fantasy store and well worth a visit every time you visit London from now on. I especially loved the rabbit and hare made from paper that sat in amongst the woodland feast scene. So many hours of work went into creating these fabulous pieces and with so much attention to detail.

The store has many levels and each filled with lovely clothes, accessories and homewares. Everywhere you turn the display team have created another corner of interest with wire chandeliers, paper doilie snowballs cascading around a pillar, there is even a giant whale hanging above a table set for a banquet.

I certainly will be visiting every season to see what amazing creations they come up with, and look at the gorgeous clothes too.

Christmas in London

We popped into London on Friday night and I had a quick peek at Liberty's windows and then at Carnaby Streets christmas decorations. Very 60's flower power.

Christmas Vintage

In love with vintage christmas decorations at the moment, the patina and colours are scrumptious. Here are just a few web finds now all I need is to go hunting for the real thing!

Lauscha Ornaments - First made in the 19th century by glassblowers in the German village of Lauscha, glass Christmas ornaments became the rage in America when F.W. Woolworth first exported them in the 1880s.
