Velvet in Brighton

Last Friday Christian and I decided to have a day out so we visited Brighton and one of our fabulous stockist, Velvet. Their stores are filled with lovely gifts and furniture and I ended up treating myself to a couple of tops in their store at 27 Bond Street, Brighton BN1 1RD. And then a slate heart chalk board and pegs in the store at 66 to 68 Church Road, Hove BN3 2FP.

You can purchase many of our cards and gift lines from Velvet, visit their website and online store www.velvetstore.co.uk.

Tim Walker

My favorite Fashion photographer is Tim Walker, his sets are like magical fairy tales. I subscribe to Vogue and when I turn the page to find one of his amazing shoots it makes a delightful surprise. The colour, style and artistic spin is simply beautiful. The above photo is one of my favorites.

Lipstick Jungle

The finale of Lipstick Jungle was on Monday Night and I can't believe it's all over after only two series. Based on a best-selling novel from the writer of Sex & City, Candace Bushell, it is set in Manhattan New York. I couldn't wait for Monday's just to loose myself in an hour of amazing clothes, apartments and dreaming of that NY lifestyle. With Lindsay Price, Kim Raver and Brooke Shields star as Victory, Nico and Wendy. It is about three friends and their lives, one as a fashion designer, a film executive and a magazine editor-in-chief. It is light hearted story about successful career driven women, fashion and friendship what more do you need in a show.
The show is so fashion orientated that you can click on each chapter and it lists the character and clothes with a link of where its from. check it out here http://www.nbc.com/Lipstick_Jungle/

Sign the petition to keep LJ going http://www.PetitionOnline.com/lsj777/petition.html

And for those of you who need a quick fix I have the theme tune as the first tune on my playlist, we will make it through this hard time together!!

Duckies

Altogether now, ohhhhh

My sister in law, Wendy sent me these photos this morning of her new additions that arrived today. What a lovely Valentines Day surprise. I have always wanted a white duck and her name would be Puddles, one day in my dream home with the white picket fence.

Spring Fair 2009

A few pictures from the Spring Fair, our first ever space only stand. It was a lovely stand Christian and James worked hard to get this completed in time.

A couple of our cards were selected to be featured in the Greeting Card Cafe in Hall 3, as tables. Never thought I'd see that!!

Larry the Cool Snowman

Faye and I could not resist playing in the snow this afternoon and so we decided we just had to build a snowman. Meet Larry the cool snowman and his friend 'Little Bird', thumbs up Larry.

Time to play with beads

Day two of the snow.... We woke up to glorious sunshine and fields of white snow this morning and everything is looking so beautiful. I left work at 4 pm yesterday to avoid the roads icing over and traffic and what with Christian still at the Spring Fair Faye and I found ourselves playing with beads. We thought we should start and see what we can come up with for another collection of our handmade jewellery.

Our latest collection was launched at the spring shows with beautiful packaging I will try and remember to take some photos later. I'm off to the office now so I must find my wellington boots and ski jacket, the sun is out but is still cold.
Take care. x

White Blanket

We have set up the Spring Fair stand and the first day of the show was yesterday, I will post some pics soon. Thank you to all for attending yesterday and a good day was had by all. There were many people from all over the world and it was so lovely to see some of our distributors. Christian and the gang are still there but I had to leave to come home and supervise Faye with school. Weather reports told us of snow coming but to our surprise they were actually right and this is what we woke to see this morning.

James and I managed both get into work this morning despite the weather only to find not many others had braved the roads. A few snow balls later and we decided to go and do some work.

Faye has the day off from school as it has been closed, and I waved goodbye before I went to work as she was adorning all her ski clothes. With her backpack filed with more clothes she was off to walk to a friends house and play for the day.
Tinky was not amused
I haven't seen snow like this here for many years well since I was a child, and snow certainly brings out your childish side. Stay safe everyone and try to enjoy the snow in any way you can, even if it is just looking out the window.
